PHILADELPHIA –Reading Terminal Market today hosted a grand opening press for its newest merchant: El Merkury at the Market.
Sofia Delon, El Merkury at the Market owner, was joined by Annie Allman, Reading Terminal Market CEO and General Manager, and Jennifer Rodriguez, President and CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Reading Terminal Market Corporation board member. This marks the opening of the first new full-time merchant at Reading Terminal since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fans of El Merkury’s Rittenhouse restaurant location can look forward to a menu of fresh tortillas, pupusas, elote, and their signature made-to-order churros as well as salsas, pickles, and breakfast items. All dishes will be available for in-Market or take-home consumption with the stand operating seven days a week.
