NHS Foundation Hosts Spring Gala for Adult IDD Individuals

More than 600 adult consumers with intellectual and developmental disabilities are scheduled to attend the spring prom

East Norriton, PA – On Wednesday, April 19th, The NHS Human Services Foundation hosted its annual Spring Gala at the Presidential Caterers Event Facility in East Norriton, PA for more than 600 individuals from throughout the Philadelphia region, and surrounding suburbs. The event celebrated individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities – many of whom have not had the opportunity to attend a prom or gala – and gave them the opportunity to formally dress up, dance, have dinner, and fun with their friends and NHS staff.

Guests were welcomed by NHS and NHS Foundation staff, who acted as paparazzi as attendees entered and walked the red carpet. The event included a gourmet dinner and live entertainment, featuring a Michael Jackson impersonator.
